Good Friday Reflections

What does this weekend mean to me?

I’m humbled; grateful; joyful. For lil’ me, nothing special by worldly standards, but everything to God, He gave His Son, bled for me, covered & cleansed me so I can enter into His presence and know Him. So I can call Him Abba Father, Yahweh. I can call His name and He answers; He’s my light, my shepherd, my doorway, my all. My protector and my guide. He has suffered SO much more than I ever will – He’s my comforter, my rock, my hiding place.

Jesus said:
I am the bread of life (John 6:35,42,48,51)

I am the light of the world (John 8:12)

I am the gate, the door (John 10:7,9)

I am the Good Shepherd (John 10:11,14)

I am the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6)

I am the true vine (John 5:1,5)

I am the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25)

I am brought to my knees with humility and thankful heart for being covered in Christ’s blood (the ultimate perfect lamb without blemish) and receiving God’s grace and peace and joy and hope.

We are truly blessed

REST – Five Minute Friday

The following is from :

So now on Fridays a group of people who love to throw caution to the wind and just writewithout worrying if it’s just right gather to share what five minutes buys them. Just five minutes.

Your words. This shared feast.

It’s easy to join in, just:

  1. Check what the prompt is on my blog.
  2. Write a post in only five minutes on that topic on your blog.
  3. Link over here and invite friends to join in.
  4. Select the permalink to your post {so not your blog url but your post url }
  5. Using the linky tool at the bottom of my Five Minute Friday post enter your link.
  6. Your post will show up in our Five Minute Friday linky.
  7. Be sure and encourage the person who linked up before you!

Our most important requirement for participation: There’s really only one absolute, no ifs, ands or buts about it Five Minute Friday rule: you must visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community. (end)

So the timer was set for five minutes and this is what I wrote:

Where do I find rest?  I find rest in peace, quiet, calm, sleep, the Lord, in the stillness, in the beauty of the earth around me.

God created me to work hard but to also rest; I am not meant to toil hard 24/7; that is not life…   God wants me to have a fulfilled and abundant life from HIM.  I must take the time to rest, stop, be still in Him to be filled with His living water and be refreshed and filled to overflow His love, grace, peace, mercy.  To stop and give thanks for all He has provided and for His perfect timing.  To rest to be able to know His will to be able to say: here I am Lord, send me, use me.  to have an abundant fulfilled life

STOP; and that’s where the timer went off………..

HOME – Five Minute Fridays

Joining the crew at LisaJo Five Minute Friday

Home is where the heart is

Home is what you make it

It’s what this momma makes

My home may (well, yes it is) filled with cat & dog hair, dust bunnies, a stinky fish tank, dishes overflowing the sink and clean dishes in the dishwasher; clean clothes piled all over the table And chairs, dirty clothes overflowing the laundry room and becoming an oversize litter box and pAper EVERYWHERE

My husband and children know that I love them well and in the end that’s what matters to this momma – the heart of the home is my momma heart loving my family well, forgiving them and offering the grace and love and forgiveness I’ve received from my Heavenly Father who looks beyond the mess of myself and welcomes

STOP….five minute timer just when off
